I am a 60 year old African American entrepreneur, content creator, and the woman who got tired of having quiet conversations alone in her head and decided to say them out loud instead.
With a background in civil rights compliance, contract compliance, and public administration spanning more than 18 years, I spent my career advocating for others. Now I am advocating for us.
The Mission Behind Fifty and Unfiltered
Fifty and Unfiltered exists because Black women over 50 deserve a space that reflects our real lives. Not the sanitized version. The actual truth of what it means to navigate love, loss, health, money, and identity when the world expects us to be invisible.
Here, we are not invisible. We are the whole conversation. We hold each other up and refuse to let anyone rush us through this chapter.

More Than a Blog
Mary holds a Master of Science in Counseling Education from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Mississippi University for Women.
With more than 35 years in business management, contract compliance, civil rights, and public administration, Mary has built a career advocating for others in spaces that were not always built for women like her. Fifty and Unfiltered is her independent creative space: personal commentary, honest stories, and a community of women who are done being quiet.
